I like the brown and blue together on the bobblecup, it emphasises the highlight white paper. The pink vase has a lovely play of light against dark tones.

Yes I liked the pink one too. After that I made it more "realistic" but I think it became less interesting.

The elements of distance are all there and the watercolour has a very subdued complementary contrast going on.
